Thanks for your reply. The "Jacob" I was referring to was Jacob "Oesterle" Easterly, married to Elizabeth Baker. And you're right, I typed "Conrad" when I meant "Casper" with regards to who we KNOW moved to IL. And I'm also well aware of the Bible, Payne, and Reaves connections.
The info about Payton Randolph, his son John, and grandson Nathaniel Easterly Randolph is new to me. :-) The question I have is, why is Nathaniel's middle name "Easterly?" You don't give a child the "neighbor's" name; so where did the Easterly name come into play? And what is the connection between the Easterlies and Randolphs in Pope Co, IL??
