Sorry- I think I mixed up your Joseph W. born 1818 with another Joseph W. Easterwood born much later. Let me try to correct. First I have a Joseph W. Easterwood born SC 1818 as son of John and Jemima Easterwood. His parents are from another family tree and I'm afraid I have no source data to offer as "proof". From a Kirby book Joseph married Myria Ann Kirby in SC and they moved to AL. Myria is buried in Ten Island Baptist Church Cem. ( I have cemetery Survey) and inscription includes "Wife of Joe".
I understand that John and Jemima also had a son named John (brother to your Joseph b. 1818) who m. Mary Myra (last name may be Pettit) and it is this John whose Probate papers name a son Joseph W. (who was listed as under age 14 in 1881 papers)and dau. Emma who m. T.J. Smith. So we have two Joseph W. Easterwood's but appears they may descend from same family line.
Bob- Sorry for the misleading info in my first posting- I am sending more detail in an email directly to you.
