My great-great-great grandfather's name was Alexander Eastvold. His son,Fordyce Cornelius Eastwold, was the first of the Eastvold family to be an Eastwold. Alexander's father's name was Abraham Ellingson Eastvold. Abraham was born in Norway, but I can't find much information about the family name outside the United States. This website says that the Estvelts were Dutch, which I realize may mean they've got nothing to do with us, but interesting nonetheless.
