My paternal greatgrandmother was an Eastwood.I have traced my Eastwood line back to John Eastwood born about 1745. The eariest record I have on him is as a founding member of Goshen Baptist Church in Green County, Pennsylvania in 1775. He and his wife Hannah and his brother Joseph went to Shelby County, Kentucky in 1779 and were forted up at Squire Boone's Painted Stone Station. He moved to Henderson County, Kentucky in 1800 where his brother or cousin Abner Eastwood was living. John Eastwood died in 1808. The town of Eastwood, Jefferson County, Kentucky was most likely named for him as he owned land in that vacinity. The massacre of Boone's station known as 'The Long Run Massacre' occured near what is now the town of Eastwood on 13 Sept 1781. Joseph Eastwood's wife, a miss Hansbury, was pregnat and murdered by the Indians in this massacre. I was wondering why you don't have a patriarchs page at your DNA site. And also, could you provide info on the ancestors of the DNA participants so that we who are not direct Eastwood descendants might see if our ancestors connect with theirs.
