I have just found this site and read a few messages. I have always been aware that the "Ebanks family" is huge, but this is a surprise. As far as I know - Ebanks was Scottish in origin - so my elders tell me [and they should know!] In Jamaica, the name is very well known in the St Elizabeth region, particularly towards Treasure Beach - throw a stone and guaranteed it will hit a family member. Ebanks also includes - Parchment, Crow, Williams, Dennis...
Back here in the UK we are still a large family, especially in south London, although we have migrated to Cambridge, Gloucester and I believe Birmingham.
Over in the States I know for sure I have a cousin in Florida, and some in New York.
My paternal grandfather was Stephen Ebanks who married Julie - they had 13 children, several of whom are still alive and one is my father, Seaford Ebanks, currently living in the Treasure Beach area.He married Merilda Williams and they have 9 children - all of us still kicking. If anyone wants to get in touch, please do.
