OK, I now know that my great grandmother's name was spelled Catherine with a "C".Based on her birthdate, family lore, and some research I am confident that she was directly related to Charles Frederick and Caesar Carl Eckhardt, the founder of the "C. Eckhardt and Sons Mercantile Company" in Yorktown, Texas.Given that Charles didn't have children, I assume that she is decended from Caesar Carl Eckhardt, in fact I suspect that she was his grand daughter.The Eckhardts' were early Texas German Pioneers and were inner married with the Kleberg, Von Roeder, and King family.
