My name is George Franklin Eddington, I am the son of John Eddington (no middle name or initial), grandson of James Franklin Eddington and Martha Francis Due Eddington.I am the youngest of their direct grand children.
I see a posting made June 15, 2005, by Kelley Eddington in response to your inquiry regarding "Estelle Eddington".Kelley Eddington posted the following response: "In response to your question regarding Estelle Eddington: Estelle Eddington was my great aunt. Her parents were James F. Eddington and Martha Frances Due Eddington Please see the link provided to Bennett Cemetery: http://www.rootsweb.com/~txtrinit/cemetery/bennett2.htmhttp://www.rootsweb.com/~txtrinit/cemetery/bennett2.htm"
Estelle Eddington was Kelley's great aunt, but only by marriage. The Estelle Eddington that Kelley is referring to, was acturally, Era Estelle Davis Eddington, she was born 09/12/1915, married Sherman Eddington on 06/23/1945 and died in 1990.She is buried at Bennett Cemetery, in Trinity County, Texas.
Sherman Eddington was the son of Roy Eddington, born 08/16/1913 and died 09/1974.Roy Eddington (born in Missouri) was the son of James Franklin Eddington and Louisa Bowman Eddington, both from Wayne County, Missouri. They came to Trinity County, Texas in the very early 1890's.Louisa and a small daughter named Sarah died in approximately 1893.Louisa and Sarah are buried in the Josserand Cemetery in Trinity County, Texas.
James Franklin Eddington remarried to Martha Francis Due married 10/13/1894, per their marriage license, issued in Trinity County, Texas. My father, John Eddington, was a half brother to the older Roy Eddington.
Hopefully, the above does not add more confusion, rather than some clarification. If, I can be of further assistance, please let me know.
