Hi everyone' I have some question's regarding Eliza Edins of the Fox Mill Disrict of Wilcox Co.AL.1870 and J.G. could also be J.C. Eddins of the Rehoboth P O, District of the same county in 1860' I'll focus on Eliza first' In some 1870 Federal census images I see Eliza Edins age 37 as the head of house in her Fox Mill District home the only other people in her household are Thomas Eddins 13 a farm laborer and a younger boy named Edward who's 9 years old im guessing brothers even though this one doesnt give relationship's to head'Eliza and all members of this household were born in Alabama now my question is could thisThomas possibly be the same Thomas/Tom who shows up in the Victoria district of Coffee Co. farther east in 1880 as twenty four years old with wife Dorothy Effie Fuller and son's Richard 2 years and William 1 year? from what Iv'e heard about Thomas Eddins of 1880 Victoria Coffee Co. it seem's like a pretty good match with the exception of one bit of info' the one bit in question is that this Tom and his father Joseph F. have ben mentioned as being from Pike Co. AL. but no mention of a Wilcox Co. residence so far as i know'but this lead's me to wonder if he might have lived in both these county's maybee'now moving to the info that easily does match Tom's mother is also said to have ben born in Alabama instead of Florida where another Thomas Eddins with both parent's of the very same first names and father born about the same year 1831's mother is said to be born in and also the so to speak non-Pike Co. Joseph'Joseph C. who is sometimes called Wilcox Co. Joseph Eddins to my knowledge at this time' didn't have a son named Edward that I know of so far' so unless there's yet another simularity between these two family's I'm not yet aware of' it would seem that this Fox Mill Eliza/Elizabeth maybee? Edins is the widow of the Joseph F. Eddins who may have ben born in Pike Co. and is said to have died of disease during the Civil War in Richmond VA. about 1863' Now moving to J.G./J.C.? Eddins which I'll try to keep short' he show's up in the Rehoboth PO, IN 1860 with a wife who goes by the initials E.L. (initial for Elizabeth?) from what i can make out of the writting and E.L. was born in FL. the only child listed at this time is T.M. (Thomas maybee?) 2 years old and born in AL.' and the head of the household J.G. on the index but the writting's hard to make out to me is a mechanic is 29 years old and was born in S.C. Could this be Joseph who is said to go by the middle initail C. and said to be a native of Wilcox Co.? as opposed to middle initial F. for the other Joseph said to be a Pike Co, native? The very next household after J.G. is that of John Eddins a fifty year old mechanic who was also born in S.C. and 45 year old Maxia ? Eddins'Some of the ages here i realize might be slightly off but that won't be the first time with census's or maybee even most form's of info' Thank's in advance for any help with these question's.
