Henry H. Edel was most likely the son of Anthony Edel and his wife, Clementine (nee Beshon).Anthony and Clementine emmigrated to the US from Alsace, France, to first Reading, PA, and then Philadelphia.Henry's siblings were Mary, Theodore, Emil, Joseph, and Victor.
Henry's brother Victor was my great-great-grandfather.
Clementine died in 1893 at the age of 82; Anthony died in 1874 at the age of 78.
The family name in Alsace was originally spelled "Adel", but Anthony changed it upon arriving in the US to Edel.
Occasionally the name is also spelled "Edell" (as in your name and in the US 1880 Census record for Clementine, at which time she was living with Victor), but Anthony spelled it "Edel", and pronounced it Eee-dell', with the accent on the last syllable.
I actually have a picture of Victor, but none of the others.
