Hi Peter,
Thanks for your answer. I do hope you can find out something about Robert Jewell EDNEY, and who, if any, were his brothers and sisters, grandparents, etc. Also, I know nothing about the JEWELL'S. I would really appreciate it if you can find out anything in Hampshire. Maybe we're related.I did make contact with another relation the other night. He is also related to the PITTIS' and EDNEY'S. I talked to him on the phone. He was surprised to hear from me. Let me know if you find out anything? Do you think the farm at "Edney at Herney" is still in existance? William EDNEY, father of Robert, was known as "the coal merchant". Maybe there are record's from that time. Do you know if "HERNEY" is a town in Hampshire or what? I know nothing about England. I was in WWII, but spent my time in the Pacific. I appreciate all you have done for me. By the way, Robert Jewell EDNEY and his wife, Mary Isabella PITTIS had eleven children.
Amelia EDNEY, 1817
Eleanor Jewell EDNEY, Dec. 1818 d. Mar. 1819
Henry Jewell EDNEY, 1821
Julia Louisa EDNEY, 1824 (my line)
Mary Jane Pittis EDNEY, 1827
Robert Pittis EDNEY, 1829
Caroline Anne EDNEY, Jan. 1830 d. Aug. 1830
Elizabeth Clark EDNEY, 1831
Sarah Adelaide EDNEY, 1833
Thanks,
Doug
