Celia, I am looking for Data on Johannes and Margarethas son who lived in rowan NC,Namely Heinrich who married Maria Catherina Shuck. Did Heinrich also have Jacob as part of his name? Did he have a daughter Christina who married Peter Little? I am trying to determine if there was a Egnor daughter who may have married Johannes Heinrich Degenhardt circa 1784 -1788. She died in October 1796 and is buried in the Union cemetery where Johannes and Margaretha Egnor are also buried. Her death is in Carl Storchs diary but he does not give a name for her. Circumstantial naming Patterns point to her name being Sarah Salome .There are several Granddaughters by this name. The first Mrs Dagenhart gave Mr Dagenhardt four daughters one was Catherina who married adam Kuntz and the Other was Elizabeth who marriedHenry shuck a grand nephew of Maria Catherina Shuck Egnor.
Peter Little married a Christina Egnor and Henry Dagenhart leaves Rowan and Joins Peter and his wife on the Catawba river in Lincoln ,now Catawba county, after he marries his second wife Christina Ketchie. The Littles are neighbors with adjoining land to the Dagenharts, Peter Little is a witness when Elizabeth Dagenhart marries Henry Shuck.
Peter Little Junior and Henry Dagenhart Junior move to irredel county and Join Sharon Luhteran Church. I think there is more than just a Neighbor neighbor relationship.
Johannes Heinrich Dagenhardt was a Hessian soldier who was born in Elshausen Hesse Germany in 1756 his Mother elizabetha Anna Scwarz was Swiss like the Egnors.
He deserted after the battle of Stonos ferry in Charleston SC in 1779 and we know nothing about him until he appears on the Rowan NC census in 1790 and the Egnors are neighbors. He does not appear to own land and I feel that he is living on his Father in Laws land.
Any help with this would be much appreciated email@example.com
