In the Mercersburg Journal, Friday, August 9, 1907, under the news from Delk it starts out saying: It has been some time since Delk has been heard from, therefore I will send a few items. Several paragraphs tell what has been going on around the neighborhood.The last paragraph states:
We also have to record the death of Michael Egolf, a well know citizen of our neighborhood, aged about 63 years; interment in Pinegrove Union Cemetery; funeral sermon by Elder D.A.Zuck, assisted by Elder J.T. Keller and Rev. W.W. WolfText: Watch and be ready.Pall bearers: Messrs. David Martin, W.H. Mullinix, William Blair and James Mills.Zimmerman and Phiel, undertakers.
