Below is a copy of the message I just sent to Matt Colby.I saw where the two of you had been e-mailing back and forth about John and Mary Eicke.I was too lazy to retype the e-mail so just copied it over for you.If this is the family, they are buried in Brandon, Iowa.
Haven't been into this forum for awhile but I see several e-mails back and forth between you and Madison Hamrick about John and Mary Eicke. My great grandmother was Caroline Eicke, daughter of John Jacob Eicke (b. 03-03-1816 in Baden, Germany; d. 02-04-1905 in Brandon, Iowa, where he is buried) and Anna Maria Wagner (b. 07-25-1830 in Baden Germany; d. 03-17-1888 in Brandon, Iowa, where she is buried). They had 9 children (Michael died in infancy and isn't usually found in any information although he's mentioned in Jacob's obituary).(1) John m. Jenny; (2)William m. Marth (Mattie) Cokely (have lots of information on him from relatives in South Dakota); (3) Henry m. Sarah McClintock (have some information from him one of his relatives, Becky); (4)Joe m. Mary - children Aletha and Wayne (and maybe Ethel?); (5) Mary(Mate) m. Samuel Jacobs (have some information on them from several relatives still in Iowa area that my father keeps in touch with); (6) Ella m. Frank Cokley and then Will Linton; (7) Caroline (Carrie) m. William Ossman (my family); and (8)Elizabeth (Lib), m. Lewis Cottrell. If this is the family you and Madison have been looking for, let me know, and I can pass on what information I have.I will be away from my computer until 09/02, so it may be a few days before I get back to you.
