Hi Susan,
Thank you for your reply. I believe you are on the right track with the 3 brothers. My husband ordered the DNA thru FamilyTreeDNA under the Alban Family which has 4 tests. They say I can move it to a new Elben page if it doesn't match their mutations.
I have done a bit of research on the Waggoner family through a related French family (surname French, not nationality) in PA and MD. Were the Waggoners from Germany or England?
Because William Elben married a German, Margaret Dush, we thought he could have been German because of the noteworthy Elbe River in Hamburg, but probably the Waggoner, Elben, and French families are from England. Mara
