Haven't been able to reasonably locate Henry Linch in the 1900 census, so really don't have a clue.
When Elizabeth's brother Jacob A. Eline remarried(about 1875--haven't found the marriage records yet) he adopted new wife Sara Elizabeth's son, John J. (1870-1938), who was born in New York.
Btw, just found early Emmitsburg, St. Joseph records (Register of Interments)in the Maryland State Archives that verify Jacob Eline (Elizabeth's and Jacob A's father) did die on 13 Feb 1865 (vice 13 Feb 1855 as shown in Holdcraft)and was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery on 15 Feb 1865.Fwiw,the record notes he died of kidney disease of "short duration."He lived with Jacob A. just north of Emmitsburg in Liberty Township, Pennsylvania.
Warm regards.
