My great great grandfather was James Monroe Elliott, born in IL, July 1863, died 1925, buried at Mize Cemetery near Wild Cherry in Fulton County, AR.Came to Arkansas by 1900, maybe earlier.
Married Parthenia Elizabeth Mize born May 1862 in AR.She died in 1947, buried at Mize Cemetery near Wild Cherry in Fulton County, AR.
They had the following children:

Rulie P.b. 1905-06, he went to Kentucky and became the police chief in Paducah, KY. Worked for the postal service before that.Was married to a Lucy Miller, and died around 1964.Had 4 boys and a girl. 2 of the boys were named Shelby, and Orbie?Both became chiropractors.The girl was named Norma Ruth.I was told that red hair ran in this family.
This is as far back as I have gotten.If anyone has any information, please let me know.In the 1900 census for Fulton County, AR, James M. stated that his father was born in Indiana and mother born in Kentucky.Then in 1910, he stated both were born in TN.
