I'm trying to learn more about them.As for Alfred Samuel Earle Elkin, I know that he fought in the War of 1812 from South Carolina.Does anyone know if the passage below refers to him, and Polly Hunt?According to family papers, my 3rd Great Grandfather is their son, Thomas Wadsworth Elkin, who is mentioned in Polly's father's Will.(He is William Hunt and his Will was written 20 Jan 1807.)I can only conclude that Alfred and Polly were married prior to that, and Thomas Wadsworth was born prior to that too.But I'm confused by the passage below that states that Alfred and Polly were newly married.
If anyone can shed some light on this family, I would love to hear from you.
