Ted Ellingford suggested I contact you about the Ellingford family. I have just started to research my family and on Dad's side it is pretty easy. Then I came to Mum's side and got lost.
However along the way I found a Ted Ellingford and sent him an email to see if he was connected and he was and I have another Uncle. I have found George who was killed at Arnhem in WW2 and am trying to find John who came out here to Australia in the 50s.
Ted's email reply was:
"Hi Rich I`m your uncle Ted,your grandfather and mr dad(Ted) and Tommy were brothers, they had three sisters I only knew two of then Amy and Georgina .Some years ago I emailed some info of the 1901 census on your grandfather to Terry.I think you may have gathered we were not a very close family but as far as I know there was no bad feelings among them. I do not remember your mother as my memory needs a jog sometimes but I do remember Terry having sisters.Tommy had a son paul so the male Ellingfords are Terry,Edward(me) paul and my stepson Douglas. So Rick tell me about you and your family.I am waiting to hear some more info on the family from my niece, how much of family do want to know about is it just the Ellingfords? regards Ted."
