The information I have is about Clara Jane [Crull] Ellingsworth. She was the sister of my g-g-grandfather.
Benjamin and Mary Anne [Bay] Crull moved to Henry Co, IL in 1850's.Henry owned land there. They had 4 children:
--Samuel A Crull (my gggand-dad) B: 1848.He married twice and moved to Chicago ca 1870's. --Marquis de Lafayette Crull B: 1851.He married Lora Bay and moved to Porter Co, IN. --William David Crull B: 1856.He married Ellen Bitner and stayed in Henry Co, IL. --Clara Jane Crull B: ca 1858.
I don't know much about Clara. The online Illinois Marriage Index shows Clara J Crull married George Ellingsworth in 1877, Henry CO, IL.
They show up in the 1880 IL Census surrounded by Crull kin in the Village of Cleveland, Henry Co, IL:
Ellingsworth, Geo., W, M, 23, married, laborer, B: IL. -----, Clara, W, F, 21, wife, married, keeping house, B: OH. -----, Clarence, W, M, 2, son, single, B: IL.
Sounds like we have a match. (We must be distant cousins a bizillion times removed.)Posting on the Ellingsworth board was a long shot!
Ultimately, I am trying to find out more about the Crulls.I appreceiate your addition of facts into the mix.I don't think I had much for you however.Perhaps we will work two ends against the middle and come up with more information useful for the both of us -- and for any other interested party listening in!
