There was a Talley/Elliott connection in early Henrico Co VA. In 1820, a Rebekah Elliot was widowed with three small children; Henry, Manuel, and Fleming Elliott. According to Deed Book 22 page 236, Rebekah Elliot sold all her household possessions to James Talley to hold onto them until her children became of age. She was concerned that she may die before they were grown. A most unusual deed. I'm wondering if Rebekah's maiden name may have been Talley. Anyway, other Talley's involved as witness to the deed include Robert N. Talley and William D. Talley.
