It appears that Daniel Elphinstone was transported to NSW. He was transported for life to N.S.W. on the ship Royal Charlotte, 1825, & died in Parramatta in 1846. He was tried & found guilty of the murder of his mother-in-law, Mary STARK alias CROCKETT, 21 Jun 1824; his sentence of hanging was commuted.
