Eileen Bennett has left a great legacy for us all in her manuscript "ELSWICK FAMILY HISTORY" dated 1964.I was so excited when I found her records at the Jefferson Co. Genealogical Society at Oskaloosa, Kansas.Taken from her records is the following letter that should be shared.
The following is taken from the manuscript of Eileen Bennet. "(Copy of a letter written by Sarah McClung Elswick to her son Charles her 5th child--at Brownsville, Oregon}.Photostatic copy in files of Mrs. Howard Bennett."
