A.H. also corresponded with a Mrs.Frank Becker comparing her records with his and other members of his family. Mrs. Becker was from Amsterdam, New York. I'm not sure, but I think she may have written a book on the Ellwoods. He also made references to Thomas Ellwood's autobiography and another book written by an Ellwood in Pennsylvania that he had read. I'm not all that sure about how much value to place on Sir Frederick since all Englishmen were granted knighthood if they had 40 pounds a year to help the King's revenue or something to that effect. There were many Sir Frederick's in the 1600's, but I haven't found one with Ellwood at the end of them.
