Frances Emptage, b. 1780 married a Nathaniel Green in Queenborough, Kent on 26 May 1800. Nathaniel was born in Oxford about 1776. In the 1841 census they lived at High St, Minster, Isle of Sheppey, Kent, England while he was a porter and sons Edward and James were shoemakers . He died in 1867 in Sheerness, Kent. they had 8 children, one of whom was John Green in 1803 in Sheerness.
John at some point moved to London where he met and married a Margaret Bruce... although he'd already had a previous wife (but I haven't found her yet) but he had a son by her, Edward. In the 1861 census John and Margaret lived at 6 Ratcliff Square, Ratcliff, Stepney, London, England and was a cabinet maker, (as was his son, Edward, then aged 21). They had 6 children, the youngest of whom was George Henry Green who was born 13 Jan 1850 in Stepney. He worked for a George Smith Jones who was a musical instrument maker... mainly concertinas. He fell in love with Caroline Jones (George's daughter) and they ran away together but George found them and brought them back and made them get married which they did in 1872 in Stepney. Eventually they were reconciled with George Jones and George Green went back to making instruments in the Jones factory. They had at least 12 children!! Their second child was Frederick Andrew Green who was born in 1875 in Stepney, London.
Frederick Gren was a tailor. He met and married Minnie Maud Moore from Deptford in London. They were married in 1898 in Greenwich, London and had Frederick in 1899 in Margate but then moved to Nottingham where Frederick Snr. had a tailoring business in Ruddington, Nottingham. They had 8 children the last of whom died in 2003 (ish) - Mavis.
