Mrs. W Emslie Aberdeen 1921
I am a stamp collector in the United States and am putting together an exhibit of my collection, which is the British Offices in China from 1917 to 1930.One of the items I am researching is a envelope to a Mrs. W. Emslie at 82 Mile End Avenue, Aberdeen, dated May 2, 1921 from the Arnhold Brothers Company in Hankow, China (a predecessor to the Amway Corp).I have found a great deal of information on the Arnhold Co but nothing on Mrs. Emslie.
If you have any information on Mrs. Emslie (as part of my exhibit, although it is solely about the stamps and postal history, I like to include some other facts or information about the item if possible), I would appreciate your letting me know.I know that a member of the Emslie family from Aberdeen was involved in the Titanic wreck and another in the Isabella wreck, both of which are of huge interest to postal historians but again, do now know if W. Emslie was related in any way.(If anyone would like a scan of the envelope, I would be happy to send it.)
Sincerely and with thanks,
