I am writing on behalf of a friend who is doing research on an African-American family of Anthony Enos. The name was changed to Enos because he did want to be tied to slavery. He was born approx. 1820 and died in the 1870's.He married Martha (Little), a slave name. She was born approx 1820's and died approx 1900's.From this union, there were four (4) children. 1.Margaret (Enos), born approx 1848, who married Harrison Little and Monroe Taylor. 2.MaryAnn (Enos) born approx 1850, married Baleem Grant. 3.Rachel (Enos) born approx 1852, married Warren Nash. 4.Tempie (Enos) born approx 1854 married Haywood Speights.
Anthony & Martha were separated by force during slavery time and he married Mary.Margaret later married Lewis Little (Slave name). They were sold to the same plantation owner of (Little).Any information would be appreciated.I will relay the message to the ggreatgrandaughter.
