I found the ship Janet records listing a Johann Philip Enes, 25, and a Maria Catharina (Weimer), and an Eva Margaretha, 4 from Kleeburg in Alsace. The site you might want to check is http://www.palproject.org/pa/1751janet.htmhttp://www.palproject.org/pa/1751janet.htm.
There was no George or Johann Georgelisted traveling with them, but perhaps he arrived later. This would indicate that Philip who left mit weib und kind- that the kind was a girl not George. A George Enniss did marry an Ann Guin in the Old Swedes' Church Dei Gloria on dec. 16, 1766, but no parents or ages were given. The spelling of the name varied
Enesfrom Alsace, Aniss, Enniss, Ennes, Ehnes, Eniss and anglicized as ENOS from the bible. I am still trying to locate the parents of George Enos 1783-1862, and his wife's maiden name Catharine? 1785-1866. They are buried inthe New centerville Cemetery. Possibly he is the grandson or great grandson of Philip. There is supposedly a George b. 1741-2, a George born 1767 M. Elizabeth?, and a George b. 1783.
