I have since founda record in Eigteenth Century Emigrants from Northern Alsace in which Johann Philip Enes, son of the late Johannes Enes, former citizenat Oberseebach married on Nov. 8, 1746 Maria Catharina Weimer, daughter of the late Jacob Weimer, citizen and cooper. They had a child Eva Margaretha born July 16, 1747 and baptized July 23, 1747. This would indicate that either George Enos's birthdate is later and he was born after Philip came to America, or he is a relative, but not a son. Philip Ennes was also listed as a contributor to Lowhill Church in 1769 in Lehigh County. The 1800 census lists George Enos as 45 +, so he was born at least by 1755. The 1790 census spells the name Enos. Philip did not appear in the 1790 census, so he was probably dead by then. There are muster rolls in Northampton VCounty with a George Ehnos and a Philip Ehnos listed- probably the same family. If anyone can figure out the George Enos connection, please let me know. Thanks.
