Hi Rebecca, First before I start let me explain that our family name is spelled ENTERKIN although on Rootsweb it has been listed as ENTRICAN & ENTRIKEN. I am a descendant of Joseph Enterkin(Entrican)Copiah Co MS.Joseph & his family were in MS and then relocated to Jena,LA. This is what I have...It is not complete as I am still trying to varify dates and children.
Joseph Enterkin b1826 H/o Elizabeth Theresa Sandifer. *She was called "Tweezer" and is buried inPleasant Hill Cemetary in Jena,LA Her headstone reads as follows: Tweezer E. Enterkin bOct 25 1825 - Dec 20 1910
I have not been able to varify the information I have found on the internet but it is as follows - she and Joseph are listed as having six children named Isaac Jackson Enterkin b1847,William Ninety Enterkin B1849, Cynthia Ann Enterkin b1854,Becky Enterkin b1856,Bessie Enterkin b1857,and Joseph Enterkin,Jr abt1858.
Tweezer(my gg grandmother),Issac Jackson(my g grandfather, and William Ninety(my ggrandfathers brother) are all buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetary in Jena,LA. I can verify those as children of Joseph and Tweezer but I just am not sure of the others. I am in the process of trying to verify the other children listed. I cannot find a headstone for Joseph so perhaps he died before the family move to LA.
I am going to put all my info on my computer program to try to get some order before I go insane.I have much more info on Isaac Jackson if you need it.
