After many challenges and delays...The 2012 National Epperson Reunion is set for Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the Ulmer Community Room in Carthage, Missouri. The building is behind the Ulmer Funeral Home at the corner of Garrison Avenue (Rt. 571) and Macon Street. People start arriving around 9:30 a.m.There are tables and chairs for 50 people, a bathroom, sink, refrigerator, microwave, as well as air conditioning and/or heat. It also has a ramped entrance to the building and bathroom.
The reunion is open to everyone connected in any way to any Epperson family line. We have several lines represented every year and people from many different states. Some of us bring genealogy materials, but more importantly, everyone has a good time visiting and meeting new relatives (no matter how distantly connected).
The potluck lunch usually starts around noon. Those of us traveling in from other parts of the country usually go to the site first and decide what to buy from the local deli/stores after we see what is already there.
I hope to see many familiar faces October 6th, as well as lots of new faces too.
