Saw your message and did a quick look for these names... here's a part of what can be found:
In the 1968 Cumberland Co History book on pages 526-527 is the following in part...
LYONS, Thursa Marie (Richardson) was born March 17, 1903 at Toledo, Ill. in the house where she now lives. This house, built by her parents in 1895 is standing upon land entered from the U.S. Government by Daniel B. Shupe, her great grandfather, on Nov. 5, 1850 (from deed). Bother her father, David Richardson, born Aug. 19, 1864 and her mother, Mary Lucinda Shull, born Oct. 23, 1873, were descendents of pioneer settlers of Cumberland Co. (Refer to 1884 history of Cumberland, Jasper and Richland Counties, pp 136, 214).
DavidÆs father, William, was born in Yorkshire, England on May 25, 1816, and came to the U.S.A. in 1832 with his father, Edman, born March 30, 1794; mother, Rachael Illingsworth, her birthdate is unknown; and four sisters, Cathrine, Elizabeth, Ann, and Eliza. They landed in New York City and moved to Ohio where Amelia E., Rachael, and Richard were born. The family moved to Cumberland Co, and settled northwest of where Toledo now stands. The land was entered by a Thomas Richardson, relationship unknown, and deeded to Edman and Rachael in 1849. Edman died Jan. 30, 1875 and Rachael I. died Nov. 31, 1861. William married Nancy Miller. Their children were Edman, Cathrine, William and Adam. After her death, William married Thursa Eskridge. Their children were David and a still-born girl. After her death, William married Sarah Anne, maiden name unknown, his sister-in-law, who was the widow of James D. Eskridge. Their child was Richard.
DavidÆs mother, Thursa, was born July 17, 1827, a daughter of George Washington Eskridge and Sabrine, last name unknown. Thursa was married to a Mr. Collins. Their children were Alice, and Cornetta. After Mr. CollinsÆ death, she married a Mr. Smith. The children born to this marriage were Lowell, William, and Mary Ellen. After Mr. SmithÆs death, she married William Richardson.
Thursa died Aug 25, 1867 when David was three. He was raised by his maiden aunt, Amelia E., who was a pioneer school teacher in Cumberland Co. ThursaÆs father, George W., was born March 23, 1770. He married Sabrine in 1800. He died Sept 11, 1858. Edman, Rachael I., William, George W., Sabrine and Thursa are buried at Salem Cem. The still-born girl was buried with Thursa.
and then it goes on for another page and a half... but does this help?"
