Christian & Maria Everhardt,PA to Rowan Co.,NC;1763
I am not researching these people, just entering information from one of my books, "Davie County Heritage."This article was submitted by John E. Seaford, and used by permission from a book on the family:
"The Matthias Everhardt descendants who live in Davie County are Peter Everhardt born 8/19/1757 in Pennsylvania.(?)Christian and Maria Sophia Everhardt and (?) came to Rowan County (now Davidson) in 1763.He died 6/12/1836, and was a Revolutionar War Veteran.Matthias was the son of John and Sally and the grandson (?) born in 1821 and died in 1851. He was married in 1846 to Nancy Waltman born 5/16/1825 died 12/6/1986 in Davie County. On February 8, 1855 she married Samuel Leonard and moved to Davie County with their children Franklin born 5/30/1847, Mary Ann born 1849, and Hamilton born 4/29/1851.Nancy married Elijah Martin 3/2/1879, and is buried in the Martin Graveyard."
"Franklin Everhardt, my line married Sarah Margaret Daniel, daughter of Josiah Daniels, Jr. and Hannah Foster, daughter of Hezikiah Foster, born 7/11/1849, married Franklin Everhardt 3/2/1871, and died 1/28/1912.There were six children with three dying in infancy. The three surviving were George Washington born 4/10/1873(pictured in 1941 with his wife), Susan Alice born 8/8/1875, and Bessie Jane born 10/5/1881.Franklin's second marriage was to Victoria Godby Allen Taylor (born 1/24/1868 died 1/28/1938) on 8/7/1917. She was the daughter of Nathniel and Elizabeth Tutterow Godby."
There is further information on these people.I have inserted questions marks where it seems words were left out.I put the birth and death of Victoria in parenthesis for clarity; the surname Daniel/s was spelled both ways.
