Hi, Timothy,I'm Sonja Parsons, and my gg grandparents were Moses Jackson "Punk" Evitts and Mary D. Burdine (I have a copy of their marriage certificate from 1848). I'd be glad to scan you a copy if you'd like.I would like to add another question to the message I posted to you a few minutes ago.Where is Moses' gravesite? That's thrilling that you've been there! Do you know when he died?In my 3 years of researching this family, I have been unable to find out who his parents and siblings were.(And you're right; there were so many Moses Evitts.)A couple years ago, I learned that there was a huge disagreement between some of the Evitts men which caused a split in the family. I don't know which men they were or what the disagreement was about.I always wonder if that's one reason for the confusion in finding information on Moses' immediate family.I thought Samuel was his dad, but when I was on a Samuel Evitts family website, Moses wasn't listed at all.If you'd like to email me, my email address is PaulandSonjaP@hawaii.rr.com.
