Thanks for the quick response.
No I have a link is to the ewers in hampshire who were shipbuilders.One of them called philemon ewer (d 1749)built some famous ships.You can look him up in wikipedia.
such family divisions weren't uncommon in the civil war as far as I know (like any of the others since!).
It was definitely isaac.Again you can look it up on wikipedia.Type in 'list of regicides'.
I am on gr. i'll do a search for william tomorrow and send you a message.
I was aware of the spy.I don't know of any link though. he's defionitely not on my direct line anyway.
