I'm trying to identify the parents of Catherine Ewing Richardson (b. 1809, IN; m-John R. Richardson, 8 children born in Willow Springs, IL between 1833-48, then lived and died in Breton, Ste. Gen. Co., MO). Her maiden name is recorded in St. Joachim's Parish records when her son John, a Protestant, married a Catholic woman, Rose Boyer.
Her husband John Richardson, b. about 1795 in England or VA, was a veteran of the War of 1812 and a miner who worked in the Dubuque, IA area, and then at the lead mines in St. Gen. Co., MO.
Catherine doesn't seem to connect to anyone in the Ewing Family history book. According to census records, her father was French and mother English, so she may have taken her mother's maiden name, or perhaps a stepfather.
