THINK! William the Conqueror was a Norman. Truelove sounds definitely anglo/saxon rather than Norman. That's one of the stories. The Battle of Hastings 1066. This story is more prevalent than the one of a Truelove w/Richard the Lionheart, and I've not heard of Richard being unhorsed and thus saved.
Its all well and good to "think" we have lineage back to the 1200's BUT w/accurate primary sources? Or more like wishful thinking and speculative links?
Have you read Lesley's Theory? That sounds the more plausible of any I've read.
