Joseph Anthony Fagan, 84, of Wellesley Hills entered into eternal peace Sunday, May 9, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Eileen M. (Berney) Fagan of Kildare, Ireland for 45 years; devoted father of Pauline and her husband Paul Outen of Ireland, Joseph A. Fagan Jr. of Wellesley, Marie Carnegie of Allston, Anne and her husband Miguel Ramos of Spain. Cherished brother of Charles and his wife Ann (Collins) Fagan of Natick and the late Arthur Fagan of Pennsylvania, Paulina Fagan of Natick and James Fagan of Framingham. Adoring grandfather of Kian. Cherished by nieces, nephews, family and friends both locally and in Ireland. Joe, a true gentleman, World War II veteran, double eagle (BC High '47, BC '52) esteemed librarian at BC 43 years, adored his beloved Eileen, family and friends, was constant in his faith, had passion for horses and racing, for literature and learning. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) WELLESLEY, was Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Wellesley Hills, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours were Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham.
