I just inherited doing the family tree, and actually found part of it started, & have several documents.I noticed right off that we have simular names in our families.Fagundes, Amaral, Machado, Silveira, Fragundes, Brazil, Alves, Azevedo, Silva and several others.My Grandfather and Grandmothers family all came from the Azores,Sao Jorge. I am just now starting to go through what I have.My Great Great Grandfather was Jose Machado Fragundes(an alternate spelling of Fagundes) He was married to Rita Silveira Amaral, both from Sao Jorge.Their children were Maria Amaral Fragundes, Joseph Amaral (Fragundes), Manuel Fragundes, Mary Silveria Fragundes, Isabel Arminda Amaral Fragundes, Rose Fragundes, and John Fragundes.I know that they did live in the San Joaquin Valley. If this clicks with anything your looking for, or whatever, feel free to email me... I just got the program Family Tree Maker, and once I get it input, it should be much easier for me to decipher.
