Rita M. (Fahey) Rizzelli,87, of Marlborough died Tuesday (May 11,2010) at Bolton Manor Nursing Home of Marlborough after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late William D. Rizzelli who died in 2009. She leaves her children William D. Rizzelli II of Auburn, M. Frances Rizzelli and George Pacific of Brookfield, Doreen R. Cavanaugh of Marlborough and James T. Rizzelli and his wife Sheri of Marlborough. Also leaves four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ret. U.S. Army Lt. Col.John J. Fahey. She was born in Marlborough daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Ouilette) Fahey and was a lifelond resident of Marlborough. She was a graduate of the former St. Anne Academy of Marlborough. Former owner and operator of her own beauty salon on East Main Street in Marlborough and later was a crossing guard for the Marlborough Police Department at various Elementary Schools. She was a member of the Marlborough Fish and Game Association and the Marlborough Senior Citizens. She enjoyed traveling to Foxwood with her husband and she often designed her own steatshirt that she wore. Calling hours at the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. A graveside service will be held on Friday (May 14,2010) at 11 A.M in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.
