Hi,
I checked my files and found a Jesse born 1792/1798 in GA.His wife was Auroria S.Ibelieve they were in Talladega Co., AL in the 1860/70 census. The 1860 census with the five children noted were only initials rather than names.I believe they had a son, Jesse born about 1834 in GA.The older Jesse could possibly be the son of William Martin Fain and Judith. He, Wm. Martin, was born 26 Jul 1769 in St. Patrick's Parish, Prince Edward County, Virginia according to Alicia Whitehead in a posting on Genforum. If this is true, this Fain might connect to my Nicholas Fain in Ireland or PA. Since we know where most of Nicholas' children settled and they are accounted for, I don't think Wm. Martin is the s/o of Nicholas who was born 1730.If Nicholas had siblings in this country, I haven't found any proof.I know he first moved from Ireland to PA then to the Shennadoah Valley and then into NE TN.Hope this helps you with your search.
Ann
