Andreas Olaus Falch was the son of Frederich Andreassen Falch and Karen Mathea Olsdatter Berg. Andreas Olaus Falch was born in Moss, and became an honoured naval officer in Norway, and "Danebrogsmand": i.e: Knighted by the King of Denmark/Norway for his loyalty and braveness as an officer (and a gentleman). He died in Ferdriksværn (today Stavern at the west coast of the Oslo fjord) Fredriksværn was the Norwegian Naval Base at that time. About 1880 the Navy moved to Horten (my home town) and in 1965 to Bergen on the West coast. Maybe because he was knighted, otherwise it would be strange for the son of a chief pilot, he married Julie Augusta Pavels, born 11 nov 1806, d. 12 apr 1849. She was the daughter of the Bishop in Bergen, Claus Pavels, and his wife Inger Maria Fasland. Andreas Olaus Falch and Julie Augusta had at least one daughter - Mariane Sophie Falch b. b. 17 feb 1832 in Bergen, d. 26 nov 1866 in Christiania. Married in Horten, Vestfold 4 Nov 1858 to Rasmus Ejlert Balthazar Knap b. 9 Aug 1828, Fredriksværn, d. 12 sep 1905, buried in Christiania. Son of Hans Laurentius Knap and Maren Henrikke Wright. He was a Commander in the Norwegian Navy. Children not known.
