Dear
I had almost forgotten my entry – and was very exited by your message, Back to your Falch line in Norway. I have the Falch family history book but your Friderich Falch is not mentioned there. But he lived in Moss as you mention.
To your Diana:
Pilot Master Friderich Falch was first married to Deana Kierulf 24th Nov 1781. She probably died giving birth, as he soon remarried and named his first daughter with his next wife Deana Karine (born January 9th, baptized 18th, in 1785). This renaming was a tradition in Norway at that time. The next marriage is not found.
Karen Matthea Olsdatter Berg was born in 1764, in Moss, baptized on March 21st daughter of Ole Olsen Bergh and Anna …datter (unfortunately unreadable in the original church record from 1764). All these dates and information is based on original church records.
At baptism Mdme Eleanora Berg is mentioned as one of the witnesses. Could be Karen Mattheas mother or aunt. You probably have the 1801 census covering the family in Moss.
My Falch ancestors origin from Adrian Falkener in Trondheim late 1500.
There are different Falch/Falck/Falk families in Norway, and your ancestors seem to be from one of those. Some of them origin from Sweden. If you have more clues I could investigate further.
