I did already have the information you posted on Joan Craig, I have a copy of her 1884 death certificate from Registrar House.I unfortunatly am at a disadvantage to you.You are in Edinburgh and I am in Palm Harbor Florida.I have to do all this remotely.
I have been working on my tree since my Grandfather's sisters, Agnes and Ruth, came from Dalkeith, to the states, for a visit in 1976.I have had my one and only visit to Scotland way back in 1987. Back then I wanted to visit Jedburgh and Melrose and the castle and Holyrood. Now my priorities would be Libraries, cemetaries and Registrar House. My Great Great Grandfather Simon Fraser is buried in the back section of the Canongate Kirk. He lived at the Sugar House close 160 Canongate Road... Now the brewery.
When they passed on, they left me a "Brotherson and Thompson" Dalkeith tall case clock, originally purchased by Richard Falconer and Joan Craig Falconer in the 1830's or 40's.It was left to his eldest grandson Thomas Nimmo. He scratched his name and date into the clock works behind the face in 1870. He then left it with his mother and emigrated to Dublin. When she died it was left to my great grandfather Robert Falconer Nimmo and on down the family... It is now with my father...
Please let me know of any online library or cemetery file you may find for midlothian or Linlithgowshire.I havea good cemetary file for Moray but not Midlothian.
