Look up Robert Falconer,1780,Banff,Scotland and you will see one James Falconer trail, baptised 1768 and died 1849 but indications are he remained in Scotland. Secondly and of a more roaming nature are some of my descendents namely a James Falconer born in Aberdeen in 1780 and died 1857 but he was a sea captain in the family shipping line, commands being Ealing Grove I (sunk in Jamaica 1822 but salved) and later a fast schooner named Falconer. There was also an Ealing Grove II on the West Indies and USA run around 1840. The most exotic James Falconer trail is a forbear who had to get out of Scotland, after the 1745 Jacobite uprising, I believe he was a son of the 4th Lord Falconer, he went to Jamaica and set up the Jamaican branch of the family but he may well have migrated to the USA. This may not be useful but at least it should be interesting. Michael K Falconer Cocks.
