Thanks for this information.I have seen the marriage contract for William Falconer and his wife (it was registered in Jamaica).I know his heir was James John Falconer of Lentran, who registered arms in Lord Lyons Court, writing that they "believed" they were descended from the Falconers of Halkerton.I can't find a line, however.

It looks like Hugh Falconar in Auldearn, who married Bessie Kinnaird in 1700, was the ancestor of this family and others (Falconar of Drakies, etc.).Have you been able to trace him further back?

For cadets of the Falconers of Halkerton, have you identified what happened to Colin Falconar, bapt. 16 June 1689 Inverness, m. Anna Stewart, a merchant in Inverness in 1714.There was a Colin who died Jamaica in 1732.

Bishop Colin's son, Hugh Falconar (1657-1709), was a merchant at Inverness. He had the son Colin, a son James (b. 1698, untraced), and a son Alexander (1700-1763), who d. at Inverness without issue.
