Very many thanks for replying to my message on this forum.
My ancestors have lived in the parish of Edinkillie, Morayshire for many generations. My Father's cousins still farm at Drumine in that parish.
The last ancestor I can trace with certainty is John Falconer born 22nd June, 1775 son of William Falconer in Presley, Edinkillie and Isabel Watson. Family Bibles still exist.
The two farms mentioned above both neighbour the lands of Darnaway, Morayshire.
William Falconer, Father of Bishop Colin Falconer, inherited the lands of Dunduff in the parish of Edinkillie.I think that both of these farms would have been on the small estate of Dunduff or Dounduff, on the banks of the river Findhorn.
Although I know what you are saying is unquestionably correct, would you be so good to satisfy a curiosity about a register of baptism, Edinkillie parish July 2nd, 1709 "William Falconer in Newton of Darnaway had his lawful son son baptised called Alexr. Witnesses Alexr. Falconer of Blackhills and Alexr. Falconer in Darnaway"
If the witness is Alexander Falconer of Blackhills? or relative, is this a line which has died out/or is not related?
