Marion Fallaw Anderson, 66, of St. Simons Island died Tuesday at the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in the Norcross City Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525 or to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Growth Fund.
Surviving are two sons, Lee T. Anderson of Jacksonville and John P. Anderson of St. Simons Island; a daughter, Katherine Leslie of St. Simons Island; a brother, John M. Fallaw of St. Simons Island; two sisters, Mrs. T.L. Edwards of Statesville, N.C., and Evelyn Hart of Pittsfield, Mass.; three grandchildren; and four nieces.
A native of York, Ala., Mrs. Anderson retired from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, in May of 2000, where she was secretary to the coordinator of public administration and to the professor of public policy on health in the political science department. Mrs. Anderson was the first executive officer of the Brunswick-Glynn County Board of Realtors. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of Colonial Wars Inc., Daughters of American Colonists and Colonial Dames of the XVII Century. Mrs. Anderson was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.

Marion was an excellent family researcher and will be sorely missed by those of us that collaborated with her on our mutual lines. Our sympathy goes out to her family and friends.
