Sarah Faller 12/29/09
The 1930 census shows Jacob Faller 48, born Roumania, first married at age 32, immigrated in 1899, naturalized 1908, spoke Jewish; wife Yetta 39, first married at 23, born Russia, immigrated in 1900; son Leon 14; other children are listed; living in Beaver Falls. The 1920 census shows much the same info. The 1910 census shows Jacob Faller 30, born Romania, immigrated 1900 living as a lodger in Pittsburgh, spoke Yiddish.
The Social Security Death Index has a Leon Faller, born 12 Dec 1913, died Feb 1978, last lived in Pittsburgh.
This website lists Leon as well as a Jacob Faller 1880-1946 as buried in Pennsylvania: http://jewishgen.org/#http://jewishgen.org/# (you'll have to register to do any research)
Jacob's World War I draft card lists him as born 6 Nov 1880 in Botoshony, Romania.
Jacob arrived on the Phoenicia in NYC on March 31, 1900.
Some of these records you can look at for free at labs.familysearch.org and Ancestry.com. For those you cannot see for free I suggest checking with your local libraries to see if they have Ancestry or Heritage Quest.
I suggest getting Leon & Jacob's death certificates and obituaries. The former you should be able to get directly from the PA Div. of Vital Records. For the latter try the Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society for Leon and the Beaver County Genealogical & Historical Center for Jacob. The cemeteries they are buried in may also have info on them especially when Yetta died. Once you have her death date get the same records for her. The synagogues they were members of may also have info on them. I also suggest getting Jacob and Yetta's marriage record which would be on record at the Register of Wills Office in the county they got the license. The question is did they get married in Beaver or Allegheny County? Once you have Yetta's maiden name you should be able to find her in the 1910 census and presumably with her parents since she was only 9 in 1900 when she immigrated.
