There was a Redmond Fallin who left a will on 16 June 1784 in Pittsylvania Co that mentions his wife Susannah, his son Edmond (and Edmond's sons, Edmond and Redmond), his daughter, Hannah Whitworth, and his daughter, Ester Little.
Easter Fallin was married to Charles Little, Jr. of Pittsylvania Co.I'm not sure what year they married, but it was before 1767, when there was a deed from Charles Little and wife Easter to Isaac Dodson.
Charles Little Jr and Sr are listed in many records in Pittsylvania and Halifax Co VA.Charles Little Sr also lived next door to an Abraham Little and an Isaac Little.I believe an Abraham Little Sr was the father of Abraham Little Jr, Charles Little Sr, and Isaac Little Sr.
Redmond Fallin was a neighbor of the Littles in Pittslyvania, Lunenberg, Halifax, and Brunswick counties as early as 1747 when a court record reads, "James Henry versus Redman Fallon, defendant. Came also Peter Wilson and Abraham Little of Lunenburg Co and have become bail for defendant."
Charles and Easter Fallin Little moved to Wilkes Co NC before 1778, and were likely the parents of Edmond and Peter D Little. Edmond Little was born in the 1760s and died in Grayson Co VA in 1778.His only son, Edmond Little Jr, became a Baptist minister.Peter D. Little, born in the 1780s, also moved to KY.His oldest son, Charles Little, became a Methodist minister in Morgan Co KY.
I've recently been trying to trace the descendants of Edmond Fallin, brother of Easter Fallin Little.I know he had sons Edmond and Redmond at the time of his father's death.
Edmond and Redmond Fallin are listed in a 1782 tax list in Pittsylvania Co, and Edmond Fallin and Peter Fallin and are both listed on a 1799 tax list in Pittsylvania Co.Peter Fallin also married Rosemond Wright on 11 March 1799 in Pittsylvania Co.
I'm wondering if this Peter Fallin was a son of Edmond Fallin Sr, and was born after Redmon Fallin's death (and wasn't listed in his will)?
If so, it would be curious that both Easter Fallin Little and her brother Edmond Fallin would have named one of their sons Peter.Peter Wilson (see above) was an influencial landowner and was assoicated with both the Littles Fallins. It's possible he was the namesake for both Peter Little and Peter Fallin.
I know there is a younger Peter Fallin and Hugh Fallin in censuses in Pittsylvania Co, and read a posting on this board about Littlebury Fallin, who moved to MO, but it gets a bit hazy after that.
I wonder if anyone can fill me in on the other descendants of Redmon Fallin and if anyone has seen any further connections to the Little family?
