I am not related to the subject of this message, but have become a military history buff through my genealogy research of my own family. I visit my family in the IOOF cemetery in Myrtle Creek, Douglas County, Oregon as often as possible. On one occasion I took photographs of the tombstones of a couple of people with the Fallin surname, because their military service was on the tombstone, and I know how hard it is to find that information from my own experiences. I think I have another one besides George some place in my thousands of photos, but for now I will tell you about George. The tombstone says George H. Fallin, Oregon, Pvt 18 Infantry, 1 Division, World War 1. December 8, 1900 - August 6, 1918.That is all that is on the stone except a little cross at the top. Looks to be a war casualty.I have photos which I am happy to give to his descendants to share, as I do not know the family, just trying to do a random act of genealogical kindness, as so many have done for me. I can scan it online for you to share as an attachment, or snailmail if you tell me where. I just have the regular color print set.
